I am from america and I live in Japan. It is possible. I speak a little Japanese, but i can not read or write at all. You do not really need to speak japanese to live. I mean, you can come here and work for 3 months, which is a tourist visa, and then leave the country and come back. Most clubs will hire you like that. But if you get married, then you can stay here. But if u divorce you will have to leave. But if you have kids with a japanese then you will be able to stay here forever.
